Last week, we were please to report our time served sentence in federal court. Today, we were able to achieve a time served sentence on what began as an Aggravated Trafficking charge, along with 7 other felonies. After a long journey, including a Motion to Suppress our Client's statements (which was granted), jury selection and a lot of trial preparation, our Client entered a no contest plea to possession for a 7 month cap at sentencing (this means the prosecution was arguing for 7 months and we were arguing for time served of 14 days). I am pleased to report that the sentencing judge agreed with our assessment, and gave our Client a time-served sentence today. Congratulations to our Client!
