Tim Zerillo Quoted In Article Re Hallowell Marijuana Licensure Controversy

Zerillo said the city could face a predicament if Lewis is given a license and Wilson takes successful action to reverse the council’s decision. He said the city should have waited for any appeal from Wilson to reach its conclusion before awarding the second downtown license. If Wilson reversed his license denial in court, all three applicants might have legal rights to two licenses. “They put themselves between a rock and a hard place here,” he said. “They just assumed that their word would be final; their word is not final.”

Filing in Old Orchard Beach Assault, Refusal to Submit, Obstructing Government Administration

Posted by Tim Zerillo | Dec 05, 2018 | 0 Comments

Tim Zerillo received a filing for a client yesterday in Biddeford District Court on a charge of Assault, Obstructing Government Administration and Refusing to Submit to Arrest. In our view, the entire episode leading to our Client's arrest (coincidentally, our Client is a retired Massachusetts Police officer) related to the use of poorly trained Reserve Officers in Old Orchard Beach. This is unfortunately a phenomenon that seems to occur every Summer in York County, often in Old Orchard Beach and Ogunquit, Maine. After a thorough defense investigation, the State Prosecutor agreed to file the case (a filing is simply a delayed dismissal, without an admission of guilt by the defendant). Congratulations to our Client!
